Service Agreement

1. Scope of Services

This Service Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between MIR Associates, Inc., with a principal address at PO Box 274, Burlington, MA 01803(“Service Provider”), and the client (“Client”) who requests interpreting services.

• In-person interpreting
• Video Remote Interpreting (VRI)
• Over-the-Phone Interpreting (OPI)
• Document language assistance (if applicable)

2. Booking and Scheduling

Clients must provide:

• Service details, including date, time, and location
• Language(s) required
• Any special requests or context for the session

Advance notice is preferred to ensure availability. Emergency requests may be subject to additional fees

3. Fees and Payment Terms

• Rates are agreed upon at the time of booking or outlined in a proposal/invoice.
• Payments are due within 30 days of invoice.
• Late payments may incur interest or result in a suspension of services.

4. Cancellations

• Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
• Late cancellations may result in a fee equivalent to 50% or Full Rate of the service cost.

5. Confidentiality

All information shared during interpreting sessions is treated as confidential. Interpreters are bound by strict professional ethics and confidentiality agreements.

6. Responsibilities of the Clie

• Provide accurate and timely information about the session.
• Ensure a respectful and safe environment for interpreters.
• Notify promptly of any changes or concerns.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service Provider is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our liability, if any, is limited to the fees paid for the specific service in question.

8. Termination

This Agreement may be terminated by either party with written notice. Any outstanding fees for completed or reserved services remain payable.

9. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [MA, Middlesex County,USA].

10. Entire Agreement

This document represents the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior discussions or understandings.

Client Acknowledgement:

By requesting or confirming a service, the Client acknowledges they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Agreement.
